I am Bismark Lanidune, with Username: Anthony Dery a language translator on Wikipedia and its sister projects, a founding member of the Dagaare Wikimedian Community based in Ghana and an active member to Dagaare Wikimedian Community. Have participated in many local communities contests and won amazing prizes. Bismark with his grate effort and voluntarily, also won the best male top contributor for the Dagaare Wikimedian Community in the 2024 end of year get-together celebration in the Dagbani Wikimedian User group. A passionate person for promoting his own language and digitising it.

Anthony Dery Wikipedia Journey

Bismark Lanidune, with Username: Anthony Dery was a student at the University of Education, Winneba where a meeting was called by a female student called Anthoniet, (User: Kuukye). He attended the meeting without knowing it's agenda. In the meeting the attendees were brieft about the existence of wikipedia where several languages were already in existence including some Ghanaian indigenous languages. It happens that Dagbani as an indigenous Ghanaian language found in the Northern territory of Ghana was in the wikipedia movement where the language speakers publicised their language into the internet. A community lead for the Gurene language who were already into the movement as an affiliate to the Dagbani Wikimedian User Group (DWUG) visited the University to train it's members on how to write articles and publish them in the wikipedia. He was then invited after his agenda with his people to also take the Dagaare people in the University through concerning wikipedia and it's necessities. On that ground that I created my wikipedia account with the Username: Anthony Dery.

These are some of the Wikimedia hubs and Communities he belongs and edit as a member;

1. Dagbani Wikimedian User Group (DWUG) - This the mother user group which houses five communities as affiliates. It happens to be the founder of the Northern territory Ghanaian wikipedia journey movement.
2. Dagaare Wikimedian Community (DWC)- This happens to be his original community where he hailed from and edit as a native speaker. Throughout his education ladders, he has learned Dagaare language hence editing and taking voluntary roles in the Dagaare community has been a usual and normal thing to him. He has a good standing in Dagaare wikimedian community from the incubator into the live Dagaare wikipedia. He created outstanding number of articles in Dagaare wikipedia, outstanding number of articles in Dagaare Wikidata, outstanding number of articles in Dagaare Wiki-Commons, and many others.
